Located  twenty minutes from the city of Mendoza, Bodega Melipal is right in the heart of the prime grape growing area of Agrelo, in Luján de Cuyo. The winery is surrounded by beautiful vines, willows, and olive trees, reflection pools and gardens, with an unforgettable view of the striking Andes mountain range. Visitors can tour different areas of the vineyard with numerous activities available such as cooking classes within the vines and guided hikes though diverse areas of the farm. Areas to see include: aged vines, high trellises, and the Nazarenas Vineyard, which are plantations of the highest quality grapes.

Melipal’s elegant winery is equipped with an exclusive restaurant and private wine cellar for personalized wine tastings. Guided by Sebastian Weigandt, a highly recognized Argentinean Chef, the restaurant has one of the best reputations in all of Mendoza. The style of the restaurant complements the philosophy of Melipal, to highlight the excellence of its wine through the products used in the kitchen. Each plate uses local ingredients and is designed to honor the relationship between Melipal’s land and wine.

The interior of the winery is complemented with a deck that rises over the mirror of water below. From here, guests can view the vines and gardens, along with the alamos and willows, all which frame the stunning mountain range of Cordon de Plata. Bodega Melipal currently has the capacity to produce 830,000 liters of wine through its stainless steel tanks, which span from 5,000 liters to 25,000 liters. The tanks are specially designed for the elaboration of the finest red wines.

Melipal is focused on sustainable winemaking practices, avoiding the use of any pesticides and unnecessary chemicals in the vineyard. While Melipal’s traditional line focuses on Malbec primarily, incorporating Reservas and Rose, their newer Ikella line includes Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot as well.
