The Siloli Desert is one of the highest deserts in the world, sitting at a dizzying 4,550 meters (15,000 feet). Siloli is dusty, barren and hopelessly isolated. It is located north of Laguna Colorada and surrounded on both sides by the ridges of ancient volcanoes. At the heart of the Siloli Desert is the obscure Árbol de Piedra, with breathtaking views of Cerro Inacaliri and its craters.
